Google Launches AdWords Small Business Center

Posted by sonu on September 11, 2010

For small businesses new to trading online, AdWords can be a daunting prospect. Many will not be used to writing the tightly controlled and space-limited copy that is required to create a great ad, and that’s before you’ve even looked at the plethora of controls that govern how your campaign performs.

Many would argue that there are a number of AdWords books available, but I guess for many, facing a thick tomb is almost as off-putting as jumping directly into AdWords!

For those just embarking on, or perhaps just looking into an AdWords advertising campaign, Google has just launched the AdWords Small Business Center. It’s a hub of straight-talking advice and techniques to help you start out.

Topics covered include: writing ads, choosing keywords, adjusting your bids and improvements to make to your website. Each topic has articles split into beginner, intermediate and advanced sections. So there really is something for everyone. I would imagine even seasoned and click-worn old AdWords hacks might even pick up a tip or two!

There is a chance that some will look at this and decide its not for them – well don’t fret, for some, businesses managing their own PPC campaigns would just take up too much time. If this is you then try clicking at the ‘Hire a Pro’ link at the bottom of the AdWords Small Business Center pages. From there you can find a PPC management professional so you can receive the benefits of online advertising without any of the work. (You can even find an entry for your ever-so humble blogging team.
